Beijing, July 29 - The Ministry of Information Industry released a report on Saturday, saying that China produced about 33.9 million color television sets in the first half year, with liquid crystal television sets accounting for 19 percent of that, reaching 6.3 million.

 

The statistics in the report also show that the liquid crystal television market in China is growing well, and that television sets sold at lower prices are welcomed by consumers.

 

China produces over 50 percent of the total global output of color television sets. Though the increasing rate in the Chinese TV industry has slowed down since 2003, it still remains double the digital increase rate.
