Chinanews, Nanning, Nov. 1 – China has become the most important country to Cambodia in foreign investment. Currently 3,016 Chinese enterprises have been registered in Cambodia, which have invested a total of 1.5 billion US dollars there.

 

Fang Qiaosheng, consultant to the Cambodian Prime Minister, revealed the figures above on Monday. Fang said that Chinese enterprises had invested in constructing electric power, mining, and petroleum exploration. Chinese entrepreneurs also hope to invest more money in fishery, tourism and electronic technology.

 

Fang hoped more Chinese enterprises would invest in Cambodia's agriculture, which he said would bring in huge returns.
